And the Adventure Continues

For those who have been following our blog, just wanted to let you know we are doing well and  we are back  in Turkey.  We spent about six weeks in the states between Tucson and Colorado and now we are back in Eskisehir.  The next part of the adventure is to travel and see Turkey.   As teachers we were so busy that we didn’t have time to see other areas in this “awesome” country.  Our basic plan is to see as much of Turkey as we can in the next few weeks and  then a couple cities in Europe as well. Then after a short stay in Tucson, we will move to Ft Collins CO.  We’re hoping and planning (this means you) for visitors this summer.   We realize it was pretty hard for friends to just hop on over to Turkey; however, Ft Collins is just an hour from the Denver airport and “only” a 14 hour drive from Tucson, and it will be cooler than Tucson, go figure!  Our Turkish friends are invited to visit us as well but it will take a 6 hour bus ride and 24 hours in the air or waiting at airports, but we will make it worth your while if you come!!

We’ve been spending our time in Eskisehir catching up with our friends Ibrahim and Ipek (Happy Birthday), friends who were co-workers from school and our friends Sibel, Roger and Sedefsu as well as all the restaurant people who have become like family and we have come to call friends.

Jerry will be working with some of his clients from his CEO business and I’m not sure what I will be doing with my free time.  I will be reinventing myself, should be another interesting adventure.  One thing for sure is that I hope we will be entertaining our grandchildren this summer and catching up with some of the time we missed with them while living in Turkey.  It  was amazing to see how much they had grown while we were gone.

Apparently we left the charger for our camera in Tucson so we will not be taking as many pictures but hopefully we will capture the most interesting areas and sites. We leave in a couple of hours for the train station to catch a flight tomorrow to Trabzon which I will describe in my next posting.  Hope everyone is doing well

  1. It's so nice to hear you blogging once again! Enjoy the travels and write lots -- your descriptions create photos for us just fine. Bon voyage!

  2. Wow, surprised anyone was still checking the blog. Good to hear from you. Hopefully we'll get some decent pictures. Suppose to be cloudy but the rain is suppose to stop.
