Pictures don’t do it justice but the lake and town are described as a Swiss style forested mountain and village.  The guide book says it is another Turkish scene that is on display in tourist offices around the country.  The snow from two days ago was starting to melt but we still some beautiful snow and it was a nice sunny warm day.  What’s not to like.  We traveled to Uzungol with another couple we met who live in Melbourne so we were able to hire a car for the day for the four of us. She’s a teacher and talked about some of the same classroom management issues we had with our students and he is from Turkey living and working in Melbourne toward his citizenship in Australia.  They were visiting his family in Izmir and traveling around the Turkey.  We enjoyed their company and plan to spend Friday with them going to some new places .  I think the rain is holding off one more day which will be great too.
